The verticals at Milk Chocolate may seem wildly diverse, but we see our business as a kind of ecosystem where each department plays a complementary and incredibly crucial part. There’s planning, purchasing, construction and management on one end, and artificial intelligence, software development and UX on the other. It’s that very contrast that makes Milk Chocolate tick; the blend of old-school real estate and construction services and innovative technology makes for a pretty robust mix that enriches our business and allows us to create a stellar experience for our clients.

Naturally, each of our verticals has its own specialties: our construction team oversees design, build and renovations; true to its name, our purchasing division is responsible for buying and negotiating on properties on behalf of clients; and the management crew maintains the property and handles rentals. Outside of our traditional real estate and construction responsibilities, departments like analytics and product development look at the big picture: economic trends, user experience through our bespoke online platform, and blue sky ideas that will ensure our company is at the forefront of technology in real estate and construction.

While every department is strong on its own, it’s when the verticals work in unison that Milk Chocolate’s magic really happens.

Our machine learning engineers, for example, gather swathes of data that feeds our economics division. Our economists analyse the data and provide their findings to our purchasing and construction teams, who are consequently able to make decisions using the best available information.

Another example of unity across our business lies in the development of our bespoke user platform, which brings together several Milk Chocolate verticals. The insight gained through our data collection is subsequently displayed in a private web application, a user-friendly tool built by our product team that allows our clients to take advantage of our research and insights. The platform incorporates high-end UX and software development and reinforces the face-to-face interaction provided by our purchasing and management teams.

Like our data-driven process and user platform, anything added to our ecosystem needs to enhance or support an existing vertical rather than totally disrupting it or functioning as a lone arm of the business. Not only does this create greater collaboration and comradery across the company, but it also means our clients have no need to go anywhere else: our seamless process sets us up as a full-service property firm that sees us underpinning the real estate and construction journey from start to finish.
