Earlier in 2021, we were approached by a Dubai-based family who were hoping to move back to Australia in the next few years.
Their brief? To find a home in Melbourne that fits their growing family and balances lifestyle considerations like design and location with their financial goals – this will be their base for the next five years, but they’re still on the path to their forever home.
Our clients wanted a character-filled dwelling located in Melbourne’s south and south-eastern suburbs. Some of their desired features included a northerly aspect with plenty of natural light, high ceilings, an open floor plan that can be altered or adjusted, an inviting garden space and good proximity to a train or tram line.
They were also after three to four bedrooms, at least two bathrooms and, ideally, space for a car. What’s more, they were keen to find a property that could easily be leased as is, in case they needed to rent it out should their plans to come home change.
After a property search through multiple lockdowns and a competitive auction with multiple bidders, we purchased a home that truly fits the bill.
Situated in Sandringham – a beachside locale that sits 16 kilometres south of Melbourne’s CBD – this two-storey, four-bedroom, two-bathroom house with two car spaces ticks every one of our client’s boxes. As a bonus, it also offers an additional studio/guest house and it’s located in an area that’s seeing strong growth.
We’re thrilled that our clients have a new place to call home when they hit the ground in Australia, as well as an investment that we’re confident will deliver in spades over the years to come.
